Making robots more useful
Our life will be quite different from it now because of the robots. We will still do many of the things we do today, but we do them differently, for we have e-friends (robots) to help us. A robot is a machine that looks just like a human being. It can walk and talk and can do almost everything we humans do. Today there are already robots working in factories. Some can help to build cars, and they do simple jobs over and over again. Fewer people will do such jobs in the future because they are boring but robots will never get bored.
With the wide use of robots, some people put too much desire on them, and want our e-friends to help us do everything, including something not proper or dangerous. Should robots follow all the orders, or can they have their own idea to choose? If you are looking forward to a world where robots will do all the dirty and dangerous work, then you may be disappointed. Now some people are teaching them how to refuse peoples orders. Scientists in America are trying something new like that. They are teaching robots to say no to some orders from people if they “think” they will feel uncomfortable after following the orders. The future robots will not only know when to say no to an order from people, but also tell why they know choose to do that. If you tell the robot to walk off the table, it will stop walking forward and say “sorry, it is dangerous. If you say Its OK, I will catch you.,, It will move on and walk off the table.
