Teaching focus: ★ Master the sentence patters: --- Whose… is this? --- It must/ might/ could/ can’t be…’s. --- Whose …is this? --- It must/ might/ could/ can’t belong to… ★ Use different listening strategies to understand the listening material better. Teaching difficulties: Make a dialogue by using modal verbs to make inferences and give suitable reasons. T: T: Can you guess what my hobby is? You can answer like this: your hobby might/ could be ... they belong to? Can you read the picture carefully and get some information? T: Can you use the information in the chart to make more inferences?(Don’t forget to use “might” or “ could”.) ▲ While- listening 1b Listen and match each person with a thing and a reason.
