When you watch it ,think over what event it is .Play a video about 9.11 event . After it , introduce 9.11 event to students .Then show the pictures of Martin Luther King .Introduce him to students .Lead in the passage . Step2: Reading Guess Look at the pictures and the title. What do you think the passage is about? Choose A or B Then listen to the passage .Pay attention to the question : How many paragraphs are there in the passage ?(there are 4 paragraphs.) Skimming Have students skim the passage and match the main idea with each paragraph . 三． Scanning Read the passage again .Judge whether they’re true or false . Check the answers. 四． Careful Reading Have students read the passage carefully, complete the chart . After that , have students retell one of the events . 五． Let’s find out Find out the sentences from the passage with the similar meaning to the ones . Step 3 : Exercise Fill in the blanks . Step 4 Homework Think of an event that you remember well and share the story with your partner . At last ,let’s enjoy the famous speech “I have a dream”. 学情分析 1．初中学生的抽象思维能力比较低，形象思维能力强，但注意力容易分散。根据教育心理学,如果学生对于一件事物有极大的兴趣,他们就会排除主观和客观的种种消极因素,尽量全身心地投入到知识的学习中去。 2．初中生对英语普遍感兴趣，但有很大的不稳定性，好奇心强，求知欲旺盛，已不满足教师对课文的简单重复。因此，在本学科的教学过程中，在注重启发引导，培养学生分析、概括能力的同时，更要注重教学方法的灵活性，通过任务型教学法，情景交际法，全身反应教学法等，激发学生学习的兴趣，让学生乐于接受，易于接受。 效果分析 我认为本节课已达到了如下效果：1、学生已经基本掌握了文章的大意，对文章中的两件大事有了深刻的认识。2、本单元的重点及难点是让学生学会用过去进行时描述当时正在发生的事情即用when和while这两个句型。学生在本节课的叙述两次事件时进行了反复练习，巩固强化了重点句型。3、让学生掌握了一些阅读技巧，比如：how to get the main idea of each paragraph ？教给学生通过读每段的第一或最后一句来找出大意。 我认为不理想的地方就是没有面向全体学生，没有人人参与。 教材分析 2a---2e是阅读教学板块。阅读文章以重大的突发事件为背景，通过人们的回忆讲述过去正在发生的事。2a让学生通过看插图和标题预测文章的内容，这既是一个阅读前的预热活动，也同2b的阅读任务相联
