The lead-in as a starting point fbr a class is an indispensable part of English classroom teaching. Therefore, a good reading lead-in can lay the foundation fbr a good reading class. A wonderful lead-in to reading teaching not only activates the classroom atmosphere, but also attracts students5 attention, stimulates their motivation and interest in learning, enhances their initiative, allows them to actively participate in the classroom, think positively and build a connection between new and old knowledge.
