Theme context--human and self 2. Type of text--narration 3. Analysis of text What: This story is about rumors. There is a mean man who hate children living in a farm which grew many luscious fruits. I and my sister used to dare to go to his farm. But one day, by accident, we went into his farm and talked with him. At that time, we know his true nature. How: This story is a narration. And the author wrote this story to tell us don’t believe the rumors lightly. He use the time order to tell this story. The beginning part is mainly about the rumors. The rising action part is about my sister and I’ s experience in this farm. At the climax part, it tell us the true nature and the hidden treasure of Mr. Donovan. Why: Continuation writing is one of the questions in the new college entrance examination. When writing this passage, students not only need to have a clear logic, but also need to enrich their content and language. Therefore, I set this class to help them sort out the article and summarize their language points they have learned. Ⅱ Analysis of Students The students in this class are all from Upper Class 12, 57 in total. The students foundation is weak, but they can use more advanced sentence patterns. Vocabulary and activity in class could be improved. There is a wide range of English levels and more work needs to be done. For their writing technology, they always make small mistakes like one sentence contains two tense. They should improve the ability of mastering the details in passages.
