课程目标
学生掌握School Subjects 的名称,并且能够正确拼写。
学生能够理解并熟练运用句型:What subjects do you like? I like ……;
学生通过Story time的活动,能够进一步加深对学习主题的理解。
教学重点
能够正确拼写School Subjects的名称。
熟练掌握“什么科目?”和“I like ……”等基础交际语句型。
在Story time活动中,进一步理解学习主题中的重点内容。
教学难点
学生能够熟练使用I like…… 的句型。
利用story time活动来巩固学生对学习主题的掌握。
教学准备
单词卡片或磁贴。
班级物品相关单词的图片、物品模型等。
PPT/Multimedia。
教师准备好的故事或相应的故事书。
教学过程
A)Warm-up
Greeting and checking attendance.
Making sure all students are ready to start class.
Singing “Hello, How are you?” and the “Days of the Week” song.
B)Lead-in
Showing a picture of a backpack on the screen and ask “What is this?” Then, asking students “Do you have a backpack?”
Displaying various other items that students may keep inside of their backpacks and asking “What is this called?”
Asking students to read the words that are written on the board and review the new vocabulary:English book, Chinese book, math book, science book, art book, p.e. book, music book.
C)Presentation
Displaying different pictures of school subjects on the screen and asking students “What subject is this?”
Demonstrating how to spell the name of each school subject and writing them on the board.
Using flashcards or magnets to show each subject and pronounce them with the students, then having them repeat the words.
Asking students to spell and pronounce each subject on their own.
D) Practice
Reviewing “What subject is this? It is…/ Do you like …? Yes, I do. No, I don’t.”
Using the sentence pattern to ask students whether they like each subject. For example, asking “What subject do you like?” and having students reply with “I like English.”
Pairing students into set groups to practice and role play the sentence pattern together.
E)Extension
Use multimedia or other materials to introduce a story about students going back to school for a new semester and what subjects they are learning.
After listening to the story, ask students what subjects they enjoyed most and why.
