The Concept of Luxury Consumption Nowadays ,more and more consumers believe in this concept of consumption .“Do not buy the most suitable goods but the most expensive ones .”Actually ,I think it’s a wrong measure of consumption . Some people only buy BMW cars ,Rolex ‘s watches ,Gucci ‘s bags and Cartier ‘s jewelry …Some people even send photos or videos to the Internet to show off their luxuries . How ridiculous they are !I wonder why people in the society are so eager to chase luxury .With Chinese economy developing ,our living conditions are progressing continuously .Even some people was born with a silver spoon in his mouth .Majority of them do not understand how difficult earning money is ,and set up a wrong concept of consumption ,and even of value . Meanwhile ,the media ,such as television ,the newspapers ,the Internet ,can influence people ‘s concept of consumption to a great degree .We can often see such scenes in TV plays that the hero or heroine lives a luxuries life .These scenes make people ,especially teenagers ,yearn for this kind of life ,which they think is cool and perfect .Thus ,they become keen on buying luxurious goods even if they don’t have much money . This concept of luxury really goes against the correct social concept of value .As an understanding college student ,we should abandon the wrong sense and set an example to the society . First of all ,we shouldn ’t waste money to buy useless luxuries and should be thrifty with clothes ,food and so on .If we have extra money ,we can also donate it to charitable institutions . A noble people does not take proud of material luxuries but sentimental value .We should do more meaningful things and set up the concept that “Do not buy the most expensive goods but the most suitable ones .”
