Englishlanguageproficiencyhasbecomeacriticalskillintodaysglobalsociety,andthedemandforEnglishmajorstudentsisincreasingsignificantly.However,manyEnglishmajorstudentsstrugglewiththeiroralcommunicationskills,whichcannegativelyimpacttheiracademicperformance.Therefore,thisstudyaimstoexploretherelationshipbetweenoralcommunicationstrategies,learningstyles,andacademicperformanceofEnglishmajorstudents.

ResearchQuestions:

1.WhatarethecommonoralcommunicationstrategiesusedbyEnglishmajorstudents?

2.WhatarethepredominantlearningstylesofEnglishmajorstudents?

3.Isthereasignificantrelationshipbetweenoralcommunicationstrategies,learningstyles,andacademicperformanceofEnglishmajorstudents?

LiteratureReview:

Researchhasfoundthatsuccessfuloralcommunicationinaforeignlanguagedependsontheeffectiveuseofcommunicationstrategies.Thesestrategiesincludecompensationstrategies,avoidancestrategies,andinteractionalstrategies.EnglishmajorstudentsoftenusethesestrategiestoovercometheirdifficultiesincommunicatinginEnglish.

Inaddition,researchhasalsoshownthatstudentslearningstylescanaffecttheiracademicperformance.ThepredominantlearningstylesofEnglishmajorstudentsarevisual,auditory,andkinesthetic.Thesestudentstendtoperformbetterwhentheirlearningstylesareaccommodatedintheclassroom.

Methodology:

ThisstudywilluseaquantitativeresearchdesigntocollectdatafromEnglishmajorstudentsatauniversityinChina.Thedatawillbecollectedusingquestionnairesdesignedtoassessoralcommunicationstrategies,learningstyles,andacademicperformance.ThestatisticalsoftwareSPSSwillbeusedtoanalyzethedata,includingdescriptivestatisticsandPe
