Title:ClinicalobservationontheinterventionofTianqihypoglycemiccapsuleonimpairedglucosetolerance

Background:

Impairedglucosetolerance(IGT)isapre-diabeticstatecharacterizedbyelevatedbloodglucoselevelsthatarelowerthanthediagnosticcriteriafordiabetes.IGTisassociatedwithanincreasedriskofdevelopingtype2diabetesandcardiovasculardisease.Therefore,earlyinterventionmeasuresforIGTareimportantforpreventingdiabetesanditscomplications.

TianqihypoglycemiccapsuleisatraditionalChinesemedicinethathasbeenusedforthetreatmentofdiabetesformanyyears.ItismainlycomposedofextractsfromtherootoftheplantSalviamiltiorrhizaandtherootoftheplantTrichosantheskirilowii.

Objective:

ThepurposeofthisstudyistoinvestigatetheclinicalefficacyofTianqihypoglycemiccapsuleintheinterventionofIGT.

Methods:

Thisstudywillrecruit100participantswhohavebeendiagnosedwithIGT.Participantswillberandomlydividedintotwogroups:atreatmentgroupandacontrolgroup.ThetreatmentgroupwillreceiveTianqihypoglycemiccapsulesfor12weeks,whilethecontrolgroupwillreceiveaplacebo.

Theprimaryoutcomemeasureswillbechangesinfastingbloodglucoseand2-hourpostprandialbloodglucoselevels.Secondaryoutcomemeasureswillincludechangesininsulinresistanceandlipidmetabolism.Adverseeventswillalsobemonitored.

Results:

Theresultsofthisstudywillbepresentedintheformofdescriptivestatisticsandinferentialstatistics.Themeanandstandarddeviationwillbecalculatedforcontinuousvariables,andthefrequencyandpercentagewillbecalculatedforcategoricalvariables.Thestatisticalsignificanceofdifferencesbetweengroupswillbeassessedusingt-testsorchi-squaretests.Ap-valueof0.05willbeconsideredstatisticallysignificant.

Conclusion:

ThisstudywillprovideevidencefortheclinicalefficacyofTianqihypoglycemi
