thepresentstudyevaluatedtheassociationsbetweengallstonesandrenalstonesusinganational

samplecohortoftheKoreanpopulation.theKoreanNationalHealthInsuranceservice-National

SampleCohortwascollectedfrom2002to2013.Wedesignedtwodiferentlongitudinalfollow-up

studies.InstudyI,weextractedgallstonepatients(n=20,711)and1:4-matchedcontrolIsubjects

(n=82,844)andanalyzedtheoccurrenceofrenalstones.InstudyII,weextractedrenalstonepatients

(n=23,615)and1:4-matchedcontrolIIsubjects(n=94,460)andanalyzedtheoccurrenceofgallstones.

Matchingwasperformedforage,sex,income,regionofresidence,andhistoryofhypertension,

diabetesmellitus,anddyslipidemia.Crudeandadjustedhazardratios(HRs)werecalculatedusingaCox
