    Adenocarcinomaoftheesophagus,orGEJ,hasdifferentdepthsofinvasion(‘T1-mucosal’m1-m3,‘T1-

    apoorprognosis.Earlylesions[i.e.highgradedyssiasubmucosal’sm1-sm3),andthefrequencyoflymphatic

    (HGD)orT1-carcinoma]arepotentiallycurable.Localen-disseminationandtimetolocoregionaland/ordistantre-

    doscopictherapiesarepromisingtreatmentoptionsforsuper-currencewereysed.Onlyoneofthe79T1m1-3/sm1

    ficiallesions;however,fordeeperlesions,surgicalresectiontumors(1%)showedlymphnodemetastasesascompared

    isconsideredtobethetreatmentofchoice.Tocontributetowith18outof41T1sm2-3tumors(44%).Therewasa

    therapeuticdecision-making,weretrospectivelyysedsignificantdifferenceinrecurrence-periodbetween

    theoutcomeoftranshiatalesophagectomyin120patientsT1m1-m3/sm1versusT1sm2-sm3tumorpatients(Plog

    withpathologicallyprovenHGD(n=13)orT1-adenocar-rank0.0001),with5-yearrecurrence-percentagesof

    cinoma(n=107)ofthedistalesophagusorgastro-esoph-97%and57%,respectively.Inmultivariateysisin-

    agealjunction(GEJ).Tumorsweresubdividedintosixcludingage,gender,tumordifferentiationgrade,N-stage
