TheSIFCOProcess®isaportablemethodofelectroplatinglocalizedareas
withouttheuseofanimmersiontank.Itisprimarilyusedforenhancing
surfacesonOEMcomponentsorforpermanentrepairs.Originallyconceived
anddevelopedbyGeorgeIxciinParis,Francein1938,thetechniquehasbeen
engineeredandenhancedbycontinuousresearchanddevelopmentatSIFCO
AppliedSurfaceConcepts.
Damagefromwear,corrosion,ormis-machiningcanberepairedusingSIFCOProcess
plating.TheSIFCOProcessdepositscanalsoofferwearresistance,lowelectricalcontact
resistance,orcorrosionprotection.Numerouspuremetals,alloysandapplicationsare
availableusingtheSIFCOProcess.
TheSIFCOProcessequipmentisportable,enablingtechnicianstoplatepartsintheir
functioningstate,savingcompaniesmoneyandminimizingdowntime.Incontrasttotank
plating,theSIFCOProcessdoesnotrequireextensivemasking,specialfixtures,orelaborate
equipment.SIFCOdepositshaveexcellentadhesionandcanbeplatedatratesthatare30to
60timesfasterthanconventionaltankplating.
