canneverbeerased.Theblockchaincontainsacertainandverifiablerecordofevery
singletransactionevermade.Bitcoin,thedecentralizedpeer-to-peerdigitalcurrency,
isthemostpopularexamplethatusesblockchaintechnology.Thedigitalcurrency
bitcoinitselfishighlycontroversialbuttheunderlyingblockchaintechnologyhas
workedflawlesslyandfoundwiderangeofapplicationsinbothfinancialand
non-financialworld.
