Intheearly20thcentury,theworldwascaptivatedbythepossibilitiesofflight.InspiredbytheWrightbrothers’achievements,FengRubegantodelvedeeperintoaeronautics.HereturnedtoChinaaftercompletinghisstudies,withdreamsofbuildingandflyinganairplaneofhisowndesign.
In1909,FengRuconstructedhisfirstaircraft,whichwasabiplane.HetestedhisinventioninafieldinGuangdong.Althoughhisinitialattemptswerefraughtwithchallengesandsetbacks,includingcrashesandtechnicaldifficulties,hisdeterminationneverwavered.Fengsperseverancepaidoffwhenhesuccessfullyflewhisaircraftin1912,makinghimthefirstpersoninChinatoachieveapoweredflight.
FengRusworkdidnotstopatpersonalachievements.HeaimedtopromoteaviationinChinaandbelievedthatitcouldplayacrucialroleinthecountrysmodernization.HeestablishedthefirstaviationschoolinChinaandtrainedmanyyoungaviators,inspiringanewgenerationtotaketotheskies.
