Lesson17;1.Toensuregoodcombustionindieselenginesandreducewearandcorrosionintheengine,itmaybenecessarytoremovecertainimpuritiesfromfuelandlubricatingoil.Whenimpuritiesaresuspendedsolidsorimmiscibleliquids,theycanberemovedreasonablysuccessfullybyoneormoreofanumberofmethods.Themethodsusedatseaare:heatingtoallowseparationofwaterpresent,coarseandfinefilteringtoremovesolidparticlesandalsocentrifuging.Ofthesethreemethodscentrifugingisthemostwidelyused.
