    总体设计

    Thisisthefirstreadingperiodforstudentsinseniorhighschool,sohowtogetintoagoodhabitofreadingisveryimportant.Andthepassageissuitabletoguidestudentstolearnthewaysofreading:predicting,skimming,scanningandcarefulreading.

    Warmingupisasurveyforstudentstopreviewtoknowiftheyaregoodtotheirfriends.Afterdoingthesurveybythemselves,theyshouldrecitethepassagewrittenaccordingtothecontentsofthesurvey.Ifso,theycanlearntousesomeofthenewwordsandexpressionsinthisunitandatthesametimetheywillknowiftheyareagoodfriend.

    Pre-readinggivesstudentsarealisticideaofwhatagoodfriendisandwhatagoodfriendcandoforothers,whichisthebrainstormingforstudents.

    ThereadingpassagetitledAnne’sBestFriendwithtwopicturesonPage3introducesstudents“who”Anne’sbestfriendwasandherlifeduringWorldWarII.Itsstructureisgoodforstudentstopracticethewaysofreading:predictwhatthetextisaboutaccordingtothetitleandthetwopictures;readPara.1andthefirsttwosentencesofPara.2toskimthemainideaofthefirstpart;readthewholetextquicklyandscanthedetailedinformationofthetext;readthetextcarefullyandanswerthequestionstounderstandthetext,whichisintensivereading.
