basicfunctionalityistocovertLevel1RHDFandLevel1G/1THDFandGeoTIFFdatasetsinto
ENVIformatfithatcontainwavelength,fullwidthhalfum,andbadbandinformation.
AlsoincludedareoptionsspecifictoeachinputdatasetformatthatfurtheraidinusingHyperion
datawithinENVI.
Version2.0includesacompleteoverhauloftheunderlyingcodebase,resultinginsignificantly
fasterconversiontimes,severalnewfileoutputoptions,supportforthenewL1Rformat(L1R+
AUX),andanapplicationprogramminginterface(API)thatenabbatchprocessing.TheAPI
ispresentedafterbriefdiscussionsontheinstallationanduseoftheplugin.
Installation
ToaddthetoolkittoyourENVIinstallation,cethehyperion_tools.savand
hyperion_wl_fwhm_bbl.txtfiinyourENVIsave_adddirectoryandthenrestartENVI.Toaccess
thetools,gotoFile-OpenExternalFile-EO-1-HyperionTools.
L1RProcessing
ForL1Rdata,clickon“InputHDF”andselectyourL1Rfile.Thenclickon“OutputPath”and
selectadestinationfolderforthenewENVIformatversionofthedata.Click“Apply”tostartthe
conversionprocess.Inthismode,theconversiontoolwillcerawradiancedatainthenew
ENVIfileinBILformatandwillincludeaveragedwavelengthandFWHMvalues.Thenewfile
sharesthesamerootnameastheinputHDF,buttheextensionis“.dat”.
