TheSecuritiesandFuturesCommission(SFC)hasbannedMissShumKamMing,aformeraccount

executiveofSincereSecuritiesLimited(SincereSecurities),fromre-enteringtheindustryforlifein

connectionwithconductingunauthorizedtransactionsinaclient’saccount(Note1).

ThedisciplinaryactionfollowsanSFCinvestiionwhichfoundthatweenMarch2014and

May2015,Shumhad:

•conductedasignificantnumberofunauthorizedtransactionsinaclient’saccount,causing

hertosuffersubstantiallosses(Note2);

•tamperedwiththeclient’sstandingmethodofstatementdeliveryinordertopreventher

fromreceivinggenuineaccountstatements;

•providedfalseandmisleadingaccountstatementstotheclienttoconcealthe

unauthorizedtradesandtruepositioninhersecuritiesaccount;and

•forgedtheclient’ssignaturetoopenaninvestmentaccountandtransferredmoneyfrom

hersecuritiesaccountsatSincereSecuritiestotheinvestmentaccountfortradinggold

commoditieswithoutherknowledgeandauthority(Note3).

TheSFCconsidersthatShum’sdishonestycallsintoquestionhisfitnessandpropernesstobea

licensedanddecidedtobanhimforlife(Note4).
