1.INTRODUCTIONANDBACKGROUND

PURPOSE

TheGatsbyFoundationwantstoexplorethepotentialrolesthatgenerativeartificial

intelligence(GAI)mighthaveintheeducationforemployabilityfield.Asatestcase,

Gatsbychosemathstaughtinvocationalsettingsbecauseofthedifferenttypesof

teachersinvolved–mathsteachersandvocationalteachers–whichprovidedthe

opportunitytoseeifGAImightenablenewwaysforthemtoworktogether.

Thisreportsetsoutourinitialfindingsonaprocessthatinvolvestheseteachers

–andpotentiallyothereducationprofessionals–inmappingandplanningfuture

applicationsofGAIforvocationalmathseducation.
