Internationalarrivalsup5%infirstninemonthsof2025

-Over1.1billioninternationaltourists(overnightvisitors)travelledinternationallybetweenJanuaryandSeptember2025,about50millionmorethanin2024,a5%year-on-yearincrease.

-Mostdestinationsenjoyedstrongtraveldemanddespitehighinflationintourismservicesandmixedconsumerconfidenceduetogeopoliticalandtradetensions.Thethirdquartersawa4%increaseinarrivals,reflectingarobustsummerseasonintheNorthernHemisphere.

-Europe,theworld’slargestdestinationregion,recorded625millioninternationaltouristsduringthefirstninemonthsof2025,a4%increasefromthesameperiodin2024and6%morethanin2019.

-Africarecorded10%growthininternationalarrivalsthisperiod,thestrongestresultsbyregion.TheAmericassawa2%increase,with3%growthinQ1andQ2buta1%dropinQ3duetosmall

declinesintheUnitedStatesandCanada.

-ArrivalsintheMiddleEastincreased2%,exceedingpre-pandemiclevelsby33%,thestrongestresultsrelativeto2019.

-InAsiaandthePacificarrivalsgrew8%thisnine-monthperiod,butremained10%below2019levels,astheregioncontinuedtorebound.

-Resultsareinlinewithourglobalprojectionof3%to5%growthinarrivalsfor2025.
