AbstractObjective:Tosystematicallyevaluatetheimpactofpreoperativefrailtyonhealthoutcomesinpatientswithesophagealcancer.

Methods:Literatureontheinfluenceofpreoperativefrailtyonhealthoutcomesinpatientswithesophagealcancerwereretrievedfrom

ChinaBiologyMedicineDatabase,CNKI,WanfangDatabase,VIPDatabase,PubMed,WebofScience,CochraneLibrary,EMbase,and

CINAHL.TheretrievaltimespannedfromdatabaseestablishmenttoMarch24,2024.Literaturewasindependentlyscreened.Datawere

extracted,andstudyqualitywasassessedby2researchersbasedoninclusionandexclusioncriteria.Statisticalanalysiswasperformedusing

RevMan5.3andStata17.0software.Results:Atotalof12cohortstudieswereincluded.Meta‐analysisresultsshowedthatpreoperative

frailtyincreasedtheriskofmortality(HR=1.79,95%CI1.51‐2.13,P0.00001),complications(HR=1.32,95%CI1.16‐1.49,P

0.0001),andreadmission(HR=1.24,95%CI1.18-1.31,P0.00001)inesophagealcancerpatients.Concl
