（一）一般过去时

1.时态的构成

（1）be动词：主语为第一人称单数（I）或第三人称单数（he/she/it等）时，用was；其它人称（you/we/they等）一律用were。

肯定句：主语+was/were+表语。例如：

Iwasathomeyesterday.（我昨天在家。）

Theywerehappylastweek.（他们上周很开心。）

否定句：主语+was/were+not+表语。wasnot可缩写为wasnt，werenot可缩写为werent。例如：

Hewasntintheclassroomthismorning.（他今天早上不在教室。）

Wewerentlateforschoolyesterday.（我们昨天上学没迟到。）

一般疑问句：Was/Were+主语+表语？回答时，肯定回答用Yes,主语+was/were；否定回答用No,主语+wasnt/werent。例如：
