But besides verbal language, they also employ body language communicating with students consciously or unconsciously. Teachers transmit information to students through proper expressions,gestures,touching and eyesight.It can achieve good results like encouragement,suggestion and exchange so that students will have deep impressions and strong influence.Then students will get a deeper understanding and feeling of English,and thus the goal of raising efficiency in English teaching will be achieved.Studies have proved that appropriate body language can help teachers manage classroom teaching in many aspects, promoting the classroom teaching efficiency.? This paper focuses on the application of Body Language and aims to explain the importance and necessary of body language in English teaching practice.In the paper,the author focuses on to Body Language in the English class though the practice of teaching and design a model class of the phonetic. I. Introduction It is about half a century since the study of language under-took a great shift. The noticeable change was a shift of attention from the language itself to the process of language learning and teaching. In China,students are learning English mainly for educational benefit and classroom oral instruction is the chief or indeed the only source of English learning, which is quite different from the natural ways of language learning.
