To some extent, wedding is a kind of cultural phenomenon and the reflection of multiple cultures．Therefore, searching on the wedding custom of one country is to search the unique civilization of this country．This paper will mainly take two kinds of wedding customs as example for discussion: Chinese wedding custom and the western one. China is a country with an ancient civilization and a long history, and many customs. Among so many customs, the wedding custom goes through various and long stages of development from ancient complex wedding ceremony to later simple ceremony. In Western countries, the wedding custom also has its own characteristics. To make a comparison of the wedding customs and the civilization are helpful to find out the culture differences.
