The First Project Manage Department, PetroChina Pipeline Company, Langfang, Hebei, 065000 Abstract:A great number of data and information will generate in the pipeline planning and design phase, which is difficult to obtain in pipeline operation, maintenance and management processes in a efficient and systematical way, therefore, a data model for pipeline full life cycle is proposed. The model is a integration to describe the data structure and data encoding system of pipeline solids and related information. The data model of pipeline established combined with the WBS system directly links to the pipeline and its related entities, the construction activities related to the parameters and design, as well as engineering construction, provides a support to the information management and engineering business, and thus making the business information, structured data and file data of the various phases of pipeline project always available in a standardized form throughout whole process of the project, which can facilitate smooth development of lifecycle management business of the pipeline.
