It is an important issue in the virtual simulation of the vehicle. Because the vehicle and road are main scenes in the vir- tual simulation, collision detection between cars and road is most important. Based on this, a method of collision detection is developed. Cars running for automatic upgrade or downgrade in freeway virtual scene is solved by us- ing this method. This method can also be used in the collision detection of other models.
