And then, the effect of laccase on the structure and dyeing properties of the natural dyes containing polyphenols was studied. The results support that the catalytic effect of laccase on the natural dyes is various. The color of the fabrics dyed by the turmeric dye became shallow when laccase was added, which might result from the 25 degradation of laccase to the turmeric. The dyeing properties of the fabrics dyed by the grape seed extract showed little change, which indicated that laccase has little effect on it. The color of the fabrics dyed by the Chinese gall pigment became darker obviously followed by the increase of the color fastnesses. These phenomena indicated that laccase has a certain influence
