First, the development history and contemporary status of design methodologyandscreen-producingtechniqueisreviewedanddiscussed.Then a common mode of design process and conceptual design ofmechanical productsisfurtherexplained,analyzed,anddiscussed. Second,basedondetailedexplanationofproduct-plannedfundamental theories and methods, the development direction of screen-produced technique is pointed out as directly computer aided screen-producing processaftercontemporaryscreen-producingtechniquesareanalyzed.Bythe comparisonofthem,thesignificanceandrequirementsofdigitalinkjet screen-makingmachinesareposedhere.Afterthemethodofmakingdesign- task-paperanddesign-requirement-listarediscussed,thedesign-task-paper anddesign-requirement-listofdigitalinkjetscreen-makingmachineare fulfilled,whichisviewedasthebaseofdesign,evaluationandselection, obeyingthecommonrequirementofdesign-task-paperanddesign-requirement- list. Third,theconceptualdesignmethodofmechanicalproductsisfurther discussed.Itispointedthatconceptualdesignisdividedintofunctional design, technicalmovement design, and operating system design.
