Five monosaccharide derivatives werewell separated by high performance liquid chromatogra phy (HPLC) and micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC) under the optimized isocratic conditions, and two analysis modes were compared. Good reproducibilities were obtained with the relative standard devia tion (RSD) of retention timewithin 023% for HPLC and 5% for MEKC.
