We like products that are functional and packaging that does more than one job.Poco Nido was founded in August 2011, in Sheffield by Catherine Lobley - footwear designer and mother of two. Over the last 3 years Poco Nido has grown and grown and now has over 70 stockists and 2 distributors worldwide. Our main product areas are:AboMini Shoes (soft soled pull on baby shoes)Bibs, blankets and other baby accessoriesClothing Kids footwear, including wellies and sneakersGarments Jersey Accessories: All our garments, bibs and blankets are rotary printed in Turkey with water based pigment inks onto 100% cotton with a repeat pattern. Our poppers are nickel free. None of our clothing contains neck labels because we know how itchy they can be. Garments come with a Poco Nido swing tag and the packaging is degradable.Wellies:Our ankle height wellies are made in China from rubber, sold in a handy little cotton bag to encourage packaging re-use. They come in sizes UK infant 4-10/Eur 20-28. They are free from chemicals such as: Azo dyes, phthalates, lead cadmium, plastic. We like rubber because it’s better for the environment; it is durable, waterproof, comfortable and keeps your feet warmer than PVC alternatives. Short wellies are perfect for aiding self-dressing and encouraging freedom of movement.Mini Shoes:Mini shoes are our core product. Made in China using the channel elastic construction, our mini shoes have no exposed elastic, which means no toe trapping or foot rubbing. They are 100% cotton with suede soles, printed with water based non-toxic inks. We have the mini shoes tested after bulk production at SGS international labs to ensure there is none of the following: Azo dyes, disperse dyes, PCP, formaldehyde, lead chrome VI.
