Abstract:T e prestack reversetime dept migration sc eme was studied based on elastic wave equation for two wavefield compo
nents recorded in 2D isotropic media. T e algorit ms relevant to prestack elastic wave reversetime dept migration sc eme were
derived on t e basis of elastic wave equation and t e solution of solving relevant problems were studied. T en, t e prestack re
versetime dept migration for 2D multicomponents data were complemented. Finally, model test and real data processing was
carried out. T e results s ow t at t e sc eme isnt influenced by st ratigrap ic dip and is suited to processing seismic multi
components dat a from t e areas w it steep subsurface structures and big variation of orizontal velocities.
