The solubility, pungency, chemical stability, release rate and the biological utilization of pesticide would be improved markedly by making cyclodextrin inclusion compounds, so cyclodextrins have important value in pesticide formulation . In this paper, the inclusion mechanism of cyclodextrin-p esticides, formation condition s and stab ility factors of inclusion complexes were reviewed, along with a detailed discussion of cyclodextrin and its derivatives influence on pesticides, such as stabilization, solubilization, photocatalytic degradation, applications in chiral pesti- cides separating and pesticide residues determinating, development trends and prospects for future were also discussed.
