Abstract: In anaero ic digestion process, the application of stirring technolog ies could effectively resolve pro lem s of m ass
transfer due to ineffective contact etw een m icroorgan ism s and organic su strates, and of physica,l iochem ical and iolog i
cal property inhom ogeneity , and then perform ance of digester could e mi proved and the iogas production enhanced.
H ow ever, the function ofm ixing in anaero ic digestion processw as not deeply understood, and so the m ixing function in
anaero ic digestion w as review ed in th is article.
