Abs tract: Agro-drought in China is very severe. In recent decade Ch ina. s cropping land under drought attacks at

been listed as the most serious natural d isaster threatening food security in China. How ever, quantitative analysis of
the mi pact of agro-drought on national food security has not been reported. In th is paper amodel was developed for
quantification of agro-drought intensity and its relationshipw ith food security. Using themodelwe analysed the spatial
and temporal variations of agro-drought mi pact on food security in recent decade in China. Our analysis i
