After this disaster, we have surveyed the distribution characteristics in similar geological conditions to this disaster. This paper takes the debris avalanche of Datian Primary School as an example, and analysis the cause and mechanism, the stability and trend of the unstable rock belt, then studies the rolling rock-bodies’ movement path, influence area, bounce height, kinetic energy by software of Rockfail. Based on the research results and the natural conditions, this paper proposes the corresponding measurements for preventing these similar disasters, which is reference to the similar disaster of other areas.
