Unit5 When was he born?
教材分析:教材主要采用任务形教学模式,融汇话题、交际功能和语言结构。在提高学生听、说、读、写技能的基础上发展综合语言运用能力。面向全体学生,并关注学生情感,激发学生学习英语的兴趣和动机。主要是学习如何介绍自己的出生年,并学会如何询问他人以及阐述自己的过去的经历。
学情分析:所教学生进校时英语水平参差不齐,虽然经过一段时间的学习,但仍存在差距。要面向全体学生就要把开始的难度降到最低,帮助学生克服畏难心理。并且要把每个环节练透,作好层层的铺垫工作。

Teaching steps:
Warming up
1)???? Send the students a sentence “It’s never too old to learn”.
2)???? Let the students guess the meaning of this proverb.
3)???? Give them the right answer.
Step one Presentation
1)???? Say hello to the students and ask them: “How old are you ?”. They will answer “I am 14 years old.” Ask 3 or 4students and explain that “ You are 14 years old so you were born in 1993.” Then lead into the new structure “When were you born?” Help the students answer “I was born in 1993.”
2)???? Write the structure on the blackboard.
3)???? Let the students work in pairs to practice the new structure;
4)???? Pick up several pairs to perform in front of the class.
(To begin with the familiar structure to the students and teach the new structure naturally. And it will be easy for all the students to accept it and produce.)
Step two
1.???? Show the students some pictures of the popular stars made by PowerPoint .Ask them “Do you like him/her?” and “When was he/she born?”
