METHODS: The superior inclination of the posterior edge of the anteroinferior lip (AIL) on sagittal plane (α)，the inclination formed by the anterior edge and posterior edge of AIL on sagittal plane (β), the inclination formed by the two lateral boundary lines of the anteriorprotruded portion (APP) on coronal plane (γ), the height and width of AIL (HAIL and WAIL)， the widest distance of APP (WMAX) and the vertical distance between WMAX line and the inferior point of AIL (HMAX) of 57 Chinese C2 vertebrae’s anterior column were measured using AutoCAD2000 software. RESULTS: It was found that α=42±8（26-58）°，β=69±10（49-89）°，γ=89±12（65-113）°, HAIL =5.7±0.9 （3.9-7.5）mm, WAIL=8.1±2.0 （4.2-10.5）mm, WMAX=13.5±1.7 (10.2-16.8) mm, and HMAX=2.2±0.6 (1.0-3.4) mm. WAIL was less than 8mm in 52.63% of the samples. CONCLUSION: The widest part of the anterior column of C2 vertebra is below the horizontal plane of inferior end plate, which makes the widest region unsuitable for screw insertion of anterior plate system unless the screws direct upwards and medially. If the entrance point of screw moves upwards, it will run the risk of inserting into the concave region of the anterior column. Because of the individual difference, anatomic parameters and landmarks are not always reliable for safe placement of C2 screw of anterior plate. 　　【Keywords】 axis/anatomy and histology； anterior cervical plate, internal fixation； anterior structure；AutoCAD 　　【摘要】 目的：探讨国人进行枢椎前路钢板固定的可行性. 方法：用AutoCAD2000软件测量57例国人干燥枢椎：①前下唇的后缘与横断面的夹角α和前下唇前后缘的夹角β②前下唇的高度(HAIL)③前下唇宽度(WAIL)④前突部分最宽处横径(WMAX)⑤最宽处距前结构下界的距离（HMAX）⑥前突部分双侧外侧缘夹角（γ）. 结果：α=42±8（26~58）°，β=69±10（49~89）°，HAIL=5.7±0.9（3.9~7.5）mm, WAIL=8.1±2.0（4.2~10.5）mm,52.63%的标本WAIL小于8 mm. WMAX=13.5±1.7(10.2~16.8)mm, HMAX=2.2±0.6(1.0~3.4)mm. γ=89±12（65~113）°. 结
