So it is necessary to conduct intellectualized design for the switches in street lamp system. An intelligent controller for street lamp using AT89C51 as main control chip is designed in this paper. The intelligent control of street lamp on/off time is realized through man-machine interface provided by LCD and the switch of street lamp is controlled by I/O port. The programming is accomplished by KEIL C51 SCM programming software and the system simulations is carried out by EDA software proteus. The result shows that the designed man-machine interface in this paper is easy to be understood and the controller for street lamp switching time with higher precision can be achieved, which has better practical and popularization value.
