18. Competition is common in our daily life. We can say, in a certain sense, competition stimulates peoples motive and creation in work and helps society to go forward. (竞争) Competition is to society what gas is to a car. That is, competition accelerates the developing speed of a person, a group or even a country. For instance, McDonald and KFC were both small companies with little fame. Competing for customers, both of them did everything in their power to equip themselves with strong capability of satisfying customers’ needs. As a consequence, the quality of their food and service gradually
