Dep artment of Orthop aedics, the Second Hosp ital of Zhengz ho , H enan 450000 Abstract Objecti e: T o study The diagnosing alue of MRI in cer ical spondylotic myelopathy. Methods: 106 patients w ith spinal cord com- pression w ere studied. ( 1) mesuring the degree of spinal cord compression by MRI. ( 2) making sure the stability of cer ical spine by X-ray. ( 3) According to JOA method, clinical syn drome w ere scored. All information w ere dealt w ith statistics. Results: less serious Spinal cord compression: Ñbwere 12 cases, Ò bw ere 31 cases, Óbw ere 38 cases, Ôbw ere 25 cases. Clinial features: se ere was 1 case,w ere 18 cases, moderate w ere 20 cases, mild w ere 38 cases,asymptom atic w ere 29 cases. 29 cases of all can not be diangnosed. Conclusion: T he diagnosing of cer ical spondylotic myelopathy are not depend on MRI only. The show ing of MRI should be combined w ith the clinical features and signs w hen diagnosing.
