Methods Angiography w ere studied in 36 patients w ith g astrointest inal hemorrhage, as 9 o them per ormed in acute emergency, the others practiced semi electively. Bleeding site o su spected g astric or mesenteric ar ter y w as identi ied by selective arterio graphy. Intraar terial vasopressin in usion or embolother aphy w as used a ter superse lective catheter ization o t he bleeding branch artery . Results 41. 67% o these patients w ere ident ied by angiography . Di agnostic rate o acute emergency angiog raphies w as signi icantly higher than that o semi electiv e. 2 in 3 cases tr eated w ith vasopressio n in usio n w ere e ective , but 1 r ebled in 30days. Cases treated by embo lotherapy w ere all success ul w ith no re curr ent . T here w as 1 case died o multi org an unction ailure, no other important syndromes happened . Conclusion Inter ventional radiology is valuable or diagnosing and tr eating g astrointestinal arter ial hemo rrhag e. Embolotherapy is a sa e and e icient method . [Key
