Jiangsu NDZ Technology Co. , Ltd. , Changzhou 213016) Abstract: T he attapulgite was modified with silane coupling agent LM N308. T he experiments showed that the suitable process conditions could be controlled as follow s: process temperature above 60 , pH= 3, reaction time is 3 h, m ( LM N308) / m ( attapulgite) = 15%The attapulgite was characterized by IR and TG DTG. T he result of IR indicates that LM N308 is bond on the surface of the attapulgite; The result of TG DTG show s that the mass fraction of LM N308 on the surface of the attapulgite is a bout 48%.
