Meantime Comrade Deng Xiaoping paid attent ion to equity and efficiency by devel- oping productivity. On the one hand, he set it up as a goal of social equity to realize coOwealth through eliminating ex- ploitation and polarization while denying average and emphasizing economic equity. On the other hand, he set it up as a precondit ion through emancipating and developing product ivity. In fact, Comrade Deng Xiaoping made productivity de- velopment as the fundamental task of socialism all the time. Therefore eliminating absolute poverty, avoiding polariza- tion, strengthening the construction of legal system and providing economic equity become an important task that should be solved at the present time.
