30 G842 A 1006-7116(2007)03-0112-03 Current situation of and development measures for backup talents for the men’s volleyball team of Guangdong LI Yi-jun WANG Hong-juan (College of Physical EducationSouth China Normal UniversityGuangzhou 510631China) Abstract:Backup talents for the men’s volleyball team of Guangdong have a short stature but good bouncing power; they are characterized with exquisite, skillful and practical techniques as well as flexible and multivariant fast break tactics; the men’s volleyball team of Guangdong should combine talent introduction with talent cultivation, introduce tall attach assisting team members promising for further development, strengthen block training, and combine the talents with the flexible, fast, multivariant and exquisite technical and tactical characteristics of the men’s volleyball team of Guangdong. Guangdong province should increase its investment to financially support the male teenage volleyball team of Guangdong to participate in more national contests.
