* * This graphic model represents the Cluster concept whereby students begin to define and re-define career-related choices and selections from a broad CLUSTER to a PATHWAY, to a more SPECIFIC OCCUPATION and advocates appropriate levels of postsecondary education based on the student choices. This model uses the Health Science CLUSTER , narrowed to the PATHWAY, Therapeutic Services, then further narrowed to a specific OCCUPATION, Registered Nurse which requires an Associate Degree at a USG school or techncial college. Other occupations in that pathway might include medical assistant, EMT, pharmacy technician, respiratory therapist just to name a few.
