Method　Western blot analysis was used for detecting anti-Amphiphysin antibody in 390 patients with small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) and 103 patients with other type of malignant tumors with or without PNSNS. Result　The anti-Amphiphysin antibodies were found in 11 of 390 patients with SCLC in which 8 patients associated with PNSNS. With Western blot analysis the anti- Amphiphysin antibody recognized a band of 125 KDa of cerebral extracts. Conclusion　Anti-Amphiphysin antibody is an autoantibody against neuron, and closely related with PNSNS and SCLC.
