Abs tract: To support and carry forward the nationw ide new curriculum reform, a basic mathematics
teaching model in high schools and prmi ary schools, based on the concept of / setting situations and po-
sing problem0, has been initiated. Thismodel ami s to foster creative consciousness and the practicing
ability for students, attempts to have that students query and question and raising the student`problem
ideas and mi provs abilities of posing and solving problem s as the start and finish points of teaching and
study. A four-year teaching practice hasproved that it is a kind of basic teaching model embodying the
new educational ideas that ismanipulated easily by teachers in high schools and prmi ary schools.
