How to effectively controls Saline-alkali land was a hot research topic for nearly half a century. The invention of covered pipe salt draining effectively solved Saline-alkali land in party areas ，and became the important means of controlling Saline-alkali land. Development situation of covered pipe salt draining technology was sumed up and covered pipe salt draining technology was analyzed from choosing of the pipe ，the depth of the covered pipe ，the method of laying covered pipe ，the process of draining salt and so on. The key technology of covered pipe salt draining was sumed up and the technology of covered pipe salt draining in different areas was analyzed.It raised the problem of covered pipe salt draining technology at present ，and developed prospect of covered pipe salt draining technology.
