Methods T he enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay ( ELISA) w as used to measure the An- uA in serum of 103 SLE patients, 66 patients w ith other rheumatic diseases ( including primary Sjgren syn- drome, polymyositis, dermatomyosit is and systemic sclerosis) and 30 healthy controls. Results Of the 103 SLE patients, 699% were seropositive for AnuA . Only 30% of 66 control patients were seropositive ( P 001) ; The sensit ivity and specificity of AnuA in SLE were 699% and 979% , respectively. The inc-i dences of renal disorders and skin lesions in AnuA positive SLE w ere 611% and 708% respectively, and significantly higher than those of AnuA negative SLE (290% and 323% , P 005) ; The titer of AnuA w as associated with SLEDAI ( r = 0282, P 005) ; There was no significant difference in age, sex and disease duration betw een positive and negative AnuA of SLE ( P 005) .T he incidences of AnuA in SLE w ith negative
