G reat success has been m ade on the revention and cure of local thyroid diseases after several , years of carry ing out the basic national iodized sa lt to co er w ith this roblem in our country. H ow ev- er, w ith the universa l salt iodization and reduction of IDD, the revalence of som e diseases related to ex- 200~ 500 Lg/d, cessive intake of iodine such as hy erthyroidism, go iter, hy othyroid, and thyroid carcinom a have been undergoing changed, the s ectrum of thyro id disease had changed significantly. Som e e idem iological studies have roved that not only iodine deficiency but iodine intake excessivem ay induce the develo - , m ent and rogress of variable kinds of thyroid diseases.
